An inverter converts a DC voltage to an AC voltage, usually 12 VDC to 120 or 240 VAC.
The source of the DC voltage is irrelevant, the converter runs the same. So no conversion is needed, as long as there is a battery of the correct voltage connected and the solar panel generates enough voltage to charge the battery.
