Grid Feed System

Benefits of Installing DIY Solar Power Systems
At present, more and more homeowners are building their own DIY solar power systems. These homemade systems work just as well as the retail versions and are even better since they take a much lesser time to recoup the initial investment costs.
The most efficient method to generate electricity is to use home solar power systems such as solar panels. Often, homeowners will also build a battery backup system to store all excessive electricity generated for backup purposes.
If you are able to plan your home grid system well, you may even find your systems feeding back electricity to the grid. Not only do you free your household from depending on the utility company, you are also able to feed additional energy back to the grid and earn the value of the electricity that you supply back. This is probably the best way to generate electricity for home use today. as renewable energy does not pollute the environment in any way.
One of the benefits of solar panels is the increase in the house value. Buyers now seem to be buzzing at the thought of eco-friendly homes. They are built from sustainable materials that are very much better for the environment than regular homes. They also have lower utility bills, and cleaner, fresher air. Any changes could be helpful, whether it is spent on solar panels, or save with a water-saving shower and toilet. As a result of any of these changes, you will boost your home's value, leaving you with more buyers than your less than eco-conscious neighbor, when you come to sell.
The savings you make, will add up. The amount of money you will save with simple, little changes can be astonishing. Simply by installing tightly sealed insulation, you could save a wad of cash. Admittedly some green updates are quite costly, but some energy-savers can be cheaper than the usual alternatives. For instance, many houses are built with larger HVAC systems than is needed. A system that is the right size for your house will be cheaper from the beginning, and then will save you energy at the later stage. Nothing beats using the Earth for energy when it comes to saving electricity.
Wind with solar energy in Canada?
Hi
I am doing a project about a renewable energy.well my topic is BioOli energy (it is a fuel). anyway i am discussing this type of energy and its feasibility in Peace Region of BC with a 230 kV transmission main nearby and how likely it is to feed this energy to a network grid......to sum it up, I have completed all my research and stuff, however, the only part i am stuck at is that i have to compare this with other suitable types of renewable technologies like solar and wind in that area. This should include comparison of the maintenance/installation costs, and systems’ efficiency.
I appreciate if any one, who is familiar with this types of energy source in Peace Region of BC, could help me.
B.C. has alot of hydro-eletric dams to you might want to examine these too. Not really sure about wind power up there. You might want to do some research on the wind fields in southern Alberta (im sure there has been cost analysis done on these.) I don't think solar power is very feasible up there, with the long, dark, cloudy winters.
