Music to the Ears: Outdoor Garden Fountains

Outdoor garden fountains are a way to make an outdoor patio yard unique and peaceful at the same time.  There are many variations of garden fountains, some of which are complex and artistic while others are more simple and modern looking.  The price range on garden fountains also varies according to the materials that are used, the size and how ornate the fountain is.  Simple fountains can run around one hundred fifty dollars while large, ornate ones can run about two thousand dollars.  The fountains are usually shipped in pieces so that the individual will have to set up the fountain once it is brought to the home or office.   If the fountain is bought in a store, there are sometimes set up fees that can be paid to have the garden fountain brought to the home or office and set up.

Environmentally Friendly

For those who would rather not have a cord running across the lawn to the fountain, there are solar fountains.  These fountains do not run well when in cloudy weather, but they do great when the sun is brightly shining, which is when the individuals would be more likely to be in the garden anyway.  The solar powered outdoor garden fountains have a solar panel that stores the sun's energy and powers the motor within the fountain that circulates the water.  With the power being made by the sun and the water being circulated within the fountain so that it is not wasted, these fountains are environmentally friendly and easy on the power bill as well.

For those that do not care about the power bill, there are usually more options in styles in fountains that are not solar powered.  These fountains still recycle the water within the fountain so that it is not wasted, nor does it need to be hooked to a water supply.  Instead, the individual will need to check the water level on a regular basis to keep the fountain filled if the water evaporates, especially during the hot days of summer.  Otherwise, once the outdoor garden fountain is set up, the individual does not need to do any more to maintain it in most cases.  

Some outdoor garden fountains can be very ornate.  For instance, there is a garden wall fountain that is made to look like a Mediterranean arched wall.  The inner backing of the fountain where the water flows is tiled with blue and tan tiles.  In the center is a flower made of marble out of which the water flows.  Surrounding the center backing of tile is an arch of tan stones and surrounding that arch is another arch of multicolored stones in a pattern.
