The 2011 Infiniti M37 Is Competitive In Its Class
The 2011 Infiniti M37 has an updated look with a wider stance and a more aggressive and athletic profile. The hood is more sculpted and the lines that run from the front of the vehicle to the back are smooth and effortless. The M37 comes in one trim but there are various optional packages available; Deluxe Touring, Technology, Sport Touring, Premium and Deluxe Touring.
The M37 will compete in the luxury car market which is dominated by vehicles from Mercedes Benz E-Class, BMW 5-series, the Lexus GS models and Jaguar XF. It’s powered by a powerful 3.7 Liter V6 engine with 330 hp. The vehicle can be driven in 4 modes: Eco, Sport, Normal and Snow. Gas mileage is at 18 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the freeway. The M37 goes from 0-60 in 5.9 seconds.
The Infiniti M37 comes standard with five spoke18” alloy wheels, xenon headlights and a moonroof. Dual exhaust with chrome tips are in place plus UV reducing solar glass has been installed in order to ensure that driving is comfortable even with the bright sun shining down. The transmission system has seven speeds and comes with a manual-shift mode. An “Eco-Pedal” system is available which promotes driving habits that are more conducive to conserving fuel and provides immediate feedback about the driver's driving habits.
The cabin is crafted out of high quality materials and there is an abundance of leather in the interior and Japanese Ash wood trim. A center console is situated between the front seats with instrument controls. The front seats are 10-way power heated plus there is Push Button Ignition in place. A Dual Zone Automatic Temperature Control is in place, plus compatibility with Bluetooth in order to make hands free calls. A USB connection port allows you to connect your Ipod music device. The premium package includes a Bose audio system with ten speakers, a DVD player and a 9.3 music storage drive for an engaging entertainment system. An optional navigation system can be added which includes voice recognition and real-time traffic updates and info. Active noise control utilizes a microphone to detect noise and neutralizes for a quiet cabin.
Safety was emphasized by Infiniti engineers. A Blind Spot Intervention System can be added which lets you know when other vehicles are in your blind spot and actually assists you back towards your lane if you start to veer over into the other lane. Intelligent Brake Assist helps to adjust and apply brake pressure as needed and the Forward Collision Warning system provides an audible warning if it senses an impending collision. Other safety mechanisms include front and side curtain airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control and Anti Lock Brakes.
Starting costs for the 2011 Infiniti M37 is approximately $46k but will increase depending on the optional packages selected. The M37 offers a luxurious driving experience and is competitive in its class with offerings such as a revamped exterior, a more powerful engine and the choice to select from various optional packages.
